Autism, the Facts and How to Help
This training course is aimed at parents whose children have had a recent diagnosis of autism or for parents and family members who want to learn about autism and strategies to help.  The information provided can be applied across a range of ages and ability levels but is most suitable for children and young people in the 4-11 years age range.

Lorna Fitzpatrick

Lorna Fitzpatrick is an Autism Trainer/Advisor in Middletown Centre for Autism. Lorna has 20 years’ experience in special education and has led an ETI initiative in the management of severe challenging behaviour and learning difficulties using a collaborative multiagency approach in the Belfast area. She has a qualification from the Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis, California in the assessment and functional analysis of challenging behaviour and is also a Team Teach tutor. Lorna has a Professional Qualification in Headship and has been a member of the Senior Leadership team in Special Schools for the past 8 years.
