Autism and Life Skills
One of the keys to happiness and life satisfaction is to feel valued and have a sense of independence in the community, to have a meaningful impact on others. Life skills allow those with autism to be more involved in the community through work, where they reside and how they recreate, although for many with autism, acquiring such skills can be challenging, they are also essential. Another key to good quality of life is the opportunity to have choices about what you do, where you live and how you have fun. The more skills one has, the more choices one may have.
