This training session builds on the information previously learned and provides further information on how to manage challenging behaviour by applying parents’ knowledge of autism and learning.
 

Expected Outcomes
Participants will have an increased understanding of:
• The underlying reasons for challenging behaviour.
• How to apply pro-active strategies to reduce the likelihood of the occurrence of challenging behaviour.
• Recognising stages leading the challenging behaviour and managing them before a display of challenging behaviour occurs.                                                                                                                    Applying autism specific strategies to help manage incident so challenging behaviour when they occur.
