Mrs Rosemary Steen, Chair of the Board of Directors of Middletown Centre for Autism has confirmed that the Board of Middletown Centre for Autism have appointed Mr Jim Lennon as Interim Chief Executive Officer with effect from the 1st September 2022. Mr Lennon succeeds Mr Gary Cooper OBE who retired at the end of August 2022. Mrs Steen said that the Board thanked Mr Cooper for his very significant contribution to the Centre, its service users and stakeholders since its formation.
Mrs Steen and Vice Chair Mrs Sheila Darling congratulated Mr Lennon on his appointment, noting that he has been part of the leadership team in the Centre which had developed it into an internationally recognised Centre of Excellence providing highly valued services for children and young people with autism throughout the island of Ireland.
“We are well placed for the future” Mrs Steen said, “ I the Chair, Vice Chair and Directors look forward to working with Mr Lennon, the Management Team, and staff to continue to develop and offer high quality services to the autism community throughout Ireland”.
