In the week that the UK is preparing to leave the EU, it is appropriate to note that in 2017 the Centre’s CEO Mr Gary Cooper OBE in his interview with Professor Mary McAleese, the former President of Ireland , stated that… “Middletown Centre for Autism is one place where the soft border shows its unique and irreplaceable worth”. This highlights the Centre’s unique position in the world of autism and how its continuous service to the autism community on the island of Ireland will remain unaffected by the UK’s exit.
