Teenagers in school are expected to take more responsibility for managing their own work and organising materials. 

Many autistic students, however, have difficulties with executive functions which includes working memory, time management and organisation.  This resource suggests simple accommodations and strategies which can help with executive functioning.  These adaptations will also be relevant to support independence as the young person transitions to further education or employment.
