When a child or young person with autism experiences the death of loved one, they may feel all the emotions associated with bereavement and grief but can have difficulty interpreting and understanding these emotions or feel overwhelmed with the intensity of them. Completing activities to remember the person who has died can help the autistic child or young person remember special times and provide comfort during times of sadness. This short video provides an outline of how the child with autism can be supported to create a memory book.
