The Centre has shared bedtime routines this week.
An important part of this is switching off computers and other devices at least one hour before bedtime. This can be difficult when a child or young person is enjoying a game. Stopping a game in the middle of a level or just before a stage has been completed can trigger upset. It can be helpful instead if the adult times the finish at a natural break in the game. This countdown strip visually shows when it is time to switch off the computer, but allows more flexibility than a clock or other timer, so it can be adjusted to stop at an appropriate end point of the game or activity.
