Focused interests bring a world of joy in their own right, and they can also be helpful when we need to have difficult conversations or explore feelings.
This example uses a focused interest in Super Mario to help a young person measure how they might be feeling. You can work together to build your own scale based on individual interests and how emotions feel to your child or young person.
