Applications are invited for the following appointments:
• Learning Support Officer/ Classroom Assistant (temporary maternity cover for up to 12 months):
Closing date – Monday 11th December 2023 at 4pm, interviews scheduled to take place on Friday 15th December 2023.
Main Essential Criteria:
• Have a minimum of 12 months’ experience in a paid capacity working with autistic children and young people in a formal education setting AND NVQ Level II in Children's Care Learning and Development, or equivalent qualification as recognised by the Education and Library Board or DES in Ireland
• Knowledge and understanding of autism and how it can impact children and young people.
• Knowledge and understanding of a range of autism specific supports and approaches.
• A clear understanding of child protection requirements.
There are also a number of service provider opportunities:
• Trainer/ Advisors
• Teachers/ Occupational Therapists/ Speech & Language Therapists
• Music Therapists, Art Therapists & other autism specific specialisms
