The Centre’s theme on social media for the month of May will be Mental Wellbeing.
This topic is of course relevant for everyone, but with the heightened anxiety frequently expressed by autistic people, it is particularly important to provide accessible resources to support emotional wellbeing. The use of calm breathing techniques can be extremely useful in reducing anxiety. This resource provides a visual way to teach calm breathing, and also includes a pocket sized version, which can be used as a visual prompt throughout the day.
