In this podcast interview, Dr Catherine Latimer (Researcher, Middletown Centre for Autism) talks to Dr Helen Lynch, Occupational Therapist and senior lecturer at University College Cork, on the topic of outdoor play.

They discuss the importance of outdoor play for autistic children and young people, as well as the barriers they may face to accessing it. The idea of inclusive play spaces is explored as Dr Lynch introduces the concept of Universal Design for playgrounds, and examples are given of how to help support outdoor play for autistic individuals.
