It is the time of year when many schools will be considering plans for either new or existing autism specific classes for the new academic year.

This week the Centre will share resources which will be useful when thinking about the classroom environment.

Today the focus is on the sensory environment and how to ensure the classroom is not creating sensory overload for some students.  This audit from the Autism Education Trust provides a framework to reflect on the classroom environment and stimulates thinking on how it could be modified to meet varying sensory processing needs.
