More sensory ideas today from Fleming Fulton School, developed collaboratively with the Centre. This time the spotlight is on the tactile system!
Some autistic children and young people may be very sensitive to certain textures so offer a range of tactile activities, but allow them to make choices and explore at their own pace.
Others may crave tactile input and love messy play so ensure they have regular opportunities throughout the day to engage with a range of tactile materials and activities.
