Bear with us – we’re updating the content on our website
How autism is understood has changed dramatically in recent years. More autistic people are being given space to share their expertise and experience. Increasingly, research is shifting focus toward autism-affirming, practical supports. At Middletown Centre for Autism, we embrace change and continually seek new ways to improve education services and wellbeing for autistic young people.
At the heart of our work, we are taking a neurodiversity-informed, autism-affirming approach. Our neurodiverse team work on an ongoing basis to update our training and post-graduate courses that we develop and deliver. However, some very dated resources and website pages that had been archived from our website can still be found and these can confuse and detract from our commitment to neuroaffirming practice. We encourage everyone to access accurate information from Middletown sources directly. To ensure you are viewing our current material, please begin at the homepage of our official website and navigate to our resources from there.
We are in the process of completely deleting old resources and webpages that are not reflective of our neuroaffirming practice. We are a small team, so unfortunately it will take time.
