Finola McElhatton, Specialist Teacher, and Vicki Smith, Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, have completed a course of study in Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
This culminated in a trip to Boston to present their projects on addressing barriers using UDL practices for better educational outcomes. Vicki focused on ‘The impact of educational trauma on neurodivergent students’ engagement in the learning process', and Finola examined the topic of ‘Supporting Children with Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance’. Congratulations to them both on graduating from this intensive but invaluable course of study.
