Another lovely Autumn activity today, this time using finger painting to create leaves on a tree.
Fingerpainting develops tactile awareness in the hands, which then helps to develop fine motor skills. It is also extremely enjoyable for those who seek out tactile input and love messy play! However, remember that some children will feel very anxious about the feeling of paint or about getting their hands messy, so consider alternatives, such as pieces of sponge for the paint.
