Student passports, sometimes called communication passports, are a tool which allows a child or young person to tell school staff all about themselves.

This is particularly important now as students prepare to move a new class, or school, in September.  It is also useful throughout the year if there are substitute teachers or different subject teachers.  The passport will let their new teacher know about their learning preferences, likes, dislikes, strengths and challenges.  As shown in these tow examples, they can be as long or as short as required.  The passport should remain in the classroom so that it is available to all staff who work with the child or young person.
