As COVID 19 restrictions relax, our combined ability to comply with social distancing regulations becomes increasingly important. For some of our children and young people with autism, the concept and practice of social distancing may require significant preparation.

With this in mind we want to remind you of previously posted resources on this topic, namely our social narrative posted on 27 March 2020  and the practice activity ideas together with a video game link posted on 25 May 2020; all of which you can find on the Centre’s website at https://www.middletownautism.com/covid19 . Further to these supports, we also want to share a additional link showing one mother’s idea of using Lego to teach her children about social distancing. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-surrey-52923751
