Wearing a mask or face covering may be a difficult concept for children and young people with autism to understand and/or tolerate, it may leave both them and their carers frustrated by the response of others towards them and could potentially increase anxiety when out in the community. These templates provide a visual reference to explain that your child or young person has a diagnosis of autism or a learning difficulty which leaves wearing a mask difficult.
