Worry dolls are small handmade dolls originating from the indigenous people of Guatemala. Making the doll is part of the process and may help the child or young person engage with the concept.
After talking to a trusted adult, the child or young person tells the doll their worry and then the doll takes care of that worry. The use of this physical object may also help the child or young person to detach themselves from a particular stress or worry
