The ability to regulate and control an emotional response often requires explicit teaching for autistic children and young people. The visual aspect of these printable images may appeal to learners with a visual learning style and can be adapted and changed to suit the way in which the child or young person visualises their own emotional responses. This concept is inspired by Leah Kuyper’s Zones of Regulation framework.
